Deepsolve Legal — Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Deepsolve Legal desktop application, published by DEEPSOLVE PTY LTD (ABN 60 700 202 893). It describes how the app handles data. Other Deepsolve tools are covered by our general privacy policy.

Deepsolve Legal is local-first. Your matters, the documents you work on, drafts, settings, and the document Library index are stored only on your own computer. We operate no server or cloud for this app and never receive that data. The app contains no analytics and no telemetry, there are no user accounts, and it does nothing with your data in the background — only when you start a task.

One external service: Anthropic. To generate analysis and drafts, the text of the task you run — your instructions, plus the documents you attach or ask the assistant to read for that task — is sent over an encrypted (TLS) connection to Anthropic's API. This is inherent to how the AI works: that content does leave your machine. If a workflow uses the web-search or URL-fetch tools, their results are included too.

Under Anthropic's Commercial Terms of Service, API inputs and outputs are not used to train Anthropic's models. Anthropic retains limited data for trust-and-safety and abuse monitoring for a bounded period, and offers Zero Data Retention to eligible organisations on request. See Anthropic's Commercial Terms.

Indexing a folder into the document Library is performed entirely on your machine and sends nothing to Anthropic — unless you enable the optional “AI summaries” setting on a collection, in which case a short excerpt of each document is sent to generate the summary.

Your Anthropic API key is entered by you and stored encrypted at rest using Windows DPAPI, tied to your Windows user account. Every file write and every shell command the assistant attempts requires your explicit approval before it runs.

We do not sell your personal information. Uninstalling the app and deleting its application-data folder removes all local data.
